Filling

Filling is a method to restore normal function and appearance of a tooth damaged by decay.

While making a filling, first decaying tooth tissue is removed and the area affected by the decay is cleaned. Then the spaces cleaned are filled with a filling material.

Implants

An implant is an artificial tooth root made to fulfill functions of a missing tooth, which is placed into the jawbone.

  • The structural material of the implant  is mostly titanium.

  • Implants made with cutting-edge technology are shaped like screws.

  • Implant is a safe method of treatment.

  • Implants are long-lasting. They were observed to remain in the mouth in a smooth way for 30 – 40 years.

  • Implants do not cause distress in terms of aesthetic appearance.

  • There is no age limit to having an implant made. However, in cases of very young age, it is required that the patient has completed puberty.

Crowns

If your tooth has suffered damage but not to the extent that it should be pulled out, it can be crowned and thus, the tooth can regain functionality. The crown protects your tooth from further damage.  In the following cases, you may need to have your tooth crowned:

  • Broken teeth

  • Endodontically treated teeth

  • If you have very large fillings in your teeth

  • Excessively colored , stained teeth

  • Misaligned teeth

Crowns can be applied using various materials including metal, porcelain, metal reinforced porcelain. You can use the crowns for minimum 10 years if you take good care of them.

Dentures

Dentures are artificial teeth made with artificial materials instead of teeth lost for various reasons.  Dentures allow maintaining the patient’s esthetic look as well as preserving functionality of the teeth during chewing and speech.

Types of dentures are as follows:

  • Fixed Dentures:  These are adhesive dentures which cannot be removed by the patient himself.

  • Removable Dentures: These are dentures which can be removed and put back by the patient at any time.

  • Complete Dentures: These dentures are applied to patients who are missing all of the teeth.

  • Partial Dentures: These are for patients who are missing some of their teeth. Fitting is ensured by tabs and hooks coming onto the teeth.
